I recall hearing a long time ago that Hawaiin shirts were good for concealment of full size pistols .

I've seen pictures of guys in those shirts at counter protest but am unaware of any members

It worked for Thomas Magnum.....  [popcorn] [tinfoil]  =D

I took to wearing cuban type shirts and more subdued hawaian shirts twenty years ago just because they are the perfect concealment shirt.

Maybe we should start a rumor that the boog boys all like photog vests so we can get the 80 year old IDPA guys wound up.

Wore loud Hawaiian style shirts a lot in my years as a Blues/Funk/Classic Rock drummer and FM Classic Rock DJ.

That could've been me who mentioned it.. I recall remarking about it more than ten years ago.  I'm not claiming any originality, but I think I brought it up to the old packing dot org website.  I was only referencing the idea I had picked up from someone else.

I also mentioned it here, once, while I was still working in Denver (yich).  I had seen a couple of Hawaiian shirts on the streets and commented  on it.  I also mentioned it here very recently:

The traditional looking cotton Carhartt T-shirts work well for me.  They hang loose at the waste line and don't typically hang up on my pistol.

When I am in casual dress in cooler weather, I am fond of rugby shirts, and they conceal pretty well and the horizontal stripes break up any outlines.
