Dear recruiter for the US Department of Justice
« on: September 11, 2020, 10:55:01 AM »
Thank you for emailing me to let me know about the Healthcare Quality Improvement Director slot for the Health Services Division of the US Department of Justice.  It sounds exciting, with the mandate to improve quality, manage patient safety and obtain accreditation for the medical units of the Bureau of Prisons.  I am surprised it is a GS-15 slot as opposed to a SES slot.  I also note the position is in Washington DC with no remote option.  I must regretfully decline but am sure you will find just the right candidate.

Well, 3000 miles is a good reason, but I'm sure the weapon thing would cinch it for me.  (Although I recall reading a couple of years ago that it seemed like the Feds were arming a lot of people you wouldn't think needed to carry.  Would being in the Bureau of Prisons allow you to carry?)

Are we talking employee or guest?

I guess in a way you could read that as a federal court summons.  Sort of like an "opportunity" you boss might let you in on.   =D

Jeez, maybe you guys are right!  I have seen several news clips where the local PD tells miscreants that they won a prize and go to the local hotel meeting room to collect it.  The miscreants stop by the room and then the PD swoops in with the cuffs.  I guess the promise of a job interview would accomplish the same.
