Disposable masks for larger faces?
« on: October 13, 2020, 10:20:09 AM »
Anyone know of a disposable mask brand which better fits wider faces?

Everything I've found seems made for ten year olds. I'm tired of snapping multiple ear loops per day and having my ears slowly sawn from my head by the cinch-tight earloops. I had one no-name package with larger earloops but there's no identifying information on the box. I have a washable but hate the damn thing. I'd much rather stick with disposables if possible.

My Mother made me a couple masks with Texas A&M logos.  They have held up well and are reasonably comfortable.  You probably wouldn't like the decoration.

"Sawing your ear off..." gave me a chuckle.

I noticed an irritation from the elastic behind my right ear a week ago.  But using the same mask yesterday I didn't get it.  (I only go out for provender about once a week.)

I'm wondering if it wasn't a function of which eyeglasses I was wearing, or maybe capturing a couple  of hairs under the twisty string or on which ear I slept that night or something.  It was quite annoying and if it happens again I might dope out a method of cushioning the elastic back there.

Instead of putting the loops around your ears, can you connect them with a boot-band behind your head?

^,^

80  50 in  5,000 ft  56HG16
Regular Price   $150.00     / each

Enough for a city.

But now that you thought of it, cutting up a regular Ace Bandage for $1.99 might work.  I'll have to keep that in mind if that irritation happens again.

Indeed, I wonder if you couldn't flange up a whole mask out of Ace bandaging...  Hmmmmm....

I've gone to a face shield if I need to wear a mask for more than 15 minutes.
