Sean Connery passed away.

He was 90 years old this year.

The Man Who Would be King.  Rest in Peace, Mr. Connery.
If there really was intelligent life on other planets, we'd be sending them foreign aid.

Conservatives see George Orwell's "1984" as a cautionary tale.  Progressives view it as a "how to" manual.

My wife often says to me, "You are evil and must be destroyed." She may be right.

Liberals believe one should never let reason, logic and facts get in the way of a good emotional argument.

:'(   The first Sean Connery film I saw was THUNDERBALL,  back when it came out in the theaters.  My father took family & me to see it.   He'd been in the Navy U. D. T.  during the Korean War ..... so I guess he thought I'd be interested in it because of all the underwater stuff in the film.

I have the DVD of it somewhere ..... I'll have to dig it out and watch it again .... in 007's memory (Connery wasn't the only JAMES BOND,  but he WAS the BEST  James Bond!!!!!).

I just saw it: https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-54761824

IMHO, Connery was the best who ever portrayed James Bond. He defined the role, and none of the others could match his portrayal.

R.I.P., Mr. Bond.

2020 takes another good one.

Rest easy,  Mr. Connery.

I'm also impressed with the restraint you degenerates have shown, given this forum's favorite movie.

Just like in 1983 we have two James Bonds

The great Zardoz has fallen!

Despair, world!

(Seriously, though, rest in peace, Mr. Connery, you provided a lot of great memories.)
I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

Too bad he died of COVID-19.  (don't know, just assuming)

I've seen nothing to confirm this.  He was 90 years old,  and reportedly in failing health recently,  so I'm going to guess that it was old age.
