  • I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.

Thank you for posting that!
Politicians and bureaucrats are considered productive if they swarm the populace like a plague of locust, devouring all substance in their path and leaving a swath of destruction like a firestorm. The technical term is "bipartisanship".

Sigh.... He could have been the Junior Senator from Illinois instead of Obama.

I've seen several of his speeches.  Hell of an orator and very effective at presenting a legitimate, logical, and understandable version of whatever the subject matter happens to be.

This guy should be running for president. Next to him, Obama is nothing.

He was absolutely creamed by Obama in the election. I think the republicans used him as a throw away candidate in the race.

If I remember correctly, Keyes was added to the ticket at the last minute.  He replaced another Republican who was forced out due to some sort of trumped up scandal involving an ex-wife.  Nobody expected Keyes to win.

Keyes ran for president in 2000.  Who here voted for him in the primaries?

If the libertarians were serious about winning support from Republicans they'd run more candidates like Keyes, not borderline nutjobs like Paul or Badnarik.

I wasn't of voting age in 2, and he wasn't in my district during the senatorial race. I didn't mean to be down on Keyes, but he's a 'libertarian' in a socialist state. I don't know why they even bothered. If he ran downstate he might have had a chance.

Me too.

I heard when he was running in Illinois he began saying nonsensical stuff; the snippets I heard (perhaps due to judicious editing) sounded like he was in favor of the government paying reparations to black people for slavery.  rolleyes

Since then, the only thing I've heard him say - over and over and over - is that abortion ought to be outlawed.
Trump won in 2016. Democrats haven't been so offended since Republicans came along and freed their slaves.

Regardless, I remember hearing him say some things that made me swear off supporting him as a politician. I think it was about racism. But I can't remember what exactly it was, just remember being dumbfounded considering how spot on he is regarding RKBA.

Apparently, Keyes has decided to run, once again. He was in the GOP debates today  shocked

teach them a thing or two, if it was possible

Keyes could teach black America a few things, if they had the capability to learn, or the inclination to do so, or would listen to anyone other than Jackson, Sharpton, etc.etc.etc.

If you aren't promoting pure racial hatred toward whites you are just fly specs in the eyes of most blacks.

Keyes is a rare bright spot on a black blight.  He has no problem stating the truth that 89% of all prison inmates, city, county, state and federal are black and asking the blacks if they like that and if they are willing to do anything to change it... and the black community only says its the white man's fault.  "White man's magic"... give it up and forget calling yourselves African Americans... what a joke, show me a real one and I'll adress him in Swahili and respect that guy... the average black American will only show me his gun or knife... which will be a big mistake.

Why don't we just become Americans and forget black, white, green, yellow or whatever.  I can do it, can you black fellas try, just a little?Huh?Huh?Huh??, No, I didn't think so.

I live nearly half of the time in Tanzania, Africa and when I started working over there I was concerned about being the "only honky in the area", but, it was unfounded.  Glad I didn't decide to work in south Dallas.  99.8% black, Tanzania is a very good place to work with people who have little and only want to get by and get along, gadzooks we could learn a few things from them.

Keyes is one of those people who looks great from a distance and then stinks up close.  He has proven he couldn't get elected dog catcher.
