Title: Any expats in the house?

So I'm thinking of packing up and moving to SE Asia or Central America for a while. I could afford to buy a 4000-6000 sq foot house, maid service, cook service, inground artistically-shaped pool, and have my own private beach if my independent business ventures take off even moderately. Not to mention the tax shields.

Are there any expats here that can share their experiences and viewpoints?
