I know the French authorities said the Notre Dame fire was an accident, but someone out there doesn't like churches.

It's totally a construction accident.   [barf]

It's pretty likely a flare up of their civil war.  That thing was pretty nasty, and has only been "over" for 10 years.

There has been some issues lately with Buddhist Monks (majority religion) threatening Christian churches and congregations.

My Father in Law is actually a temporary Pastor at a Presbyterian Church in Colombo right now (is fine), and has been mentioning the increased tensions between the government and opposition for a while.

Just a series of unfortunate coincidences.

A relatively unknown Islamist group, National Thowheed Jamath, is suspected.
So I guess no calls to ban semi autos

Someone will still try to use this as a reason for gun control.

Could be just me but it seems like only when it's a straight white Christian which was my point.

what irritates me most about is is the tweets from dem politicians and news agencies.

they express sympathy for "easter worshippers". and that "easter worshippers" were targetted.

They can't friggin BRING themselves to say CHRISTIAN

Maybe they're just trying to be inclusive, and not ignore the Buddhists and Muslims who were celebrating Easter.

It is rather odd how so many prominent leftists used this neologism, not to mention how so many “news” organizations followed suit and used the term.

I’ve never heard anyone use “Easter worshipers” let alone seen it used so across the board, out of nowhere.

Here is a small list of Dems using the odd term.

https://www.pacificpundit.com/2019/04/21/democrat-coordinated-attack-on-christianity-call-sri-lanka-terror-victims-easter-worshipers/?fbclid=IwAR3CuAzfn0jA4k0R5PTykgXUSw2gcOtJfwa7LHMZ-jbLSllofJeRH1ey_I4

If you google the term there are a lot of articles from around the world using the term.

There are also a lot of articles pointing out how weird it is they just didn’t say Christian.

We all know they were just people doing something when the tragedy happened.

Probably just a case of leftist herd behavior following Obama and Clintons lead.

Still rather odd though.

Apparently if you're upset about the bombings in Sri Lanka you're a nazi or something

After reading multiple mainstream news articles on the recent synagogue shooting I would like to point out that there were zero references to “Passover worshipers”.

While there was apparently some hesitation to identify the targets of violence in Sri Lanka by their obvious name, Christians, the same concern hasn’t been exercised as the media expresses concern about “Christian backlash”.

This odd selective parsing of language is really weird.

Not really. Particularly once you realize that it is deliberate and purposeful.

"Odd" would suggest unusual.

You obviously haven't been paying attention.

With as little attention this has gotten, I have to wonder if the murders had been done with firearms if there would have been a lot more comment. Explosives just don't fit the narrative.

Media dropped this story like a cobra after it came out it was done by a Islamist group. Didn't fit the desired narrative.

They haven't *totally* dropped it; they are reporting how the president of Sri Lanka has banned face-coverings.
