I've watched about as much as I can stand tonight; surprised I made it more than an hour. The most amazing thing is that Joe Biden is the only one that seems sane. (well, Klobuchar is probably sane, she just has no charisma)

Son is taking Poli Sci in school, has to watch as a class assignment. Amazed (not really) by how many times they don't actually answer the question asked. What's his name, the mayor from South Band, seems to have moments of sanity.
Others seem just around the bend...on the left hand side.
Some funny moments. Catro accusing Biden of being senile. Yang saying "I'm Asian, so I know a lot of doctors" Warren's eyes spinning in opposite directions... :lol:

I didn't watch it, but am reading highlights this morning. Richard O'Rourke ended up making both a huge campaign contribution to Trump, and also exemplifying that one Larry Correia blog post with, “Hell yes, we are going to take your AR-15, AK-47.”
For the first, it's the kind of statement even "middle of the road" people don't like to see because of the threat it implies, even beyond guns. For the second, who's "we" jackass? The people you order to do it might not do what you think.

How about Cory Booker talking about how the majority of gun owners want mandatory background checks and federal licensing of gun owners?
All of them kept saying the majority of gun owners want stringer background checks, assault weapons bans, etc. Hell, I think it was Beto who said he went to a gun show and people buying ARs said that they would be happy with a ban, cut them into pieces...
Anyone ever see a remotely credible poll that shows a majority of gun owners want licensing of owners?

I heard a clip this morning of Beto saying people should keep their AR-15's when he ran for Senate. I thought he said he owned one. This clip is from his Senate run when he was trying to be nice to gun owners. Now he is trying to pander to the Democrat leftist base. Just listen to the first 30 seconds. The rest of it is the usual political speak.

In any other company Biden would seem unabashedly leftist, but on THAT stage, he seemed almost moderate - he seemed to be the only serious contender who wasn't a dyed-in-the-wool communist. He also seemed to be the only one for whom fiscal responsibility was even a consideration. (One of the others - I'm not sure which - made some sort of a comment to the effect that we shouldn't worry about money. :facepalm: )
Cory Booker mentioned growing up in a neighborhood full of gunfire and gun violence. Q: Hey Cory, are you saying that gangs of white supremacists were running amok in the hood?
Beto of course said that they WOULD be coming for AR15s. Q: Hey Beto, what's NEXT on your list?
Beto also supported reparations for slavery, since our country began in the 1600s (NOT 1776) with the import of slaves. Great applause line since this debate was at a HBCU campus.
One moderator asked Biden a "gotcha" question about a statement he allegedly made in reference to reparations for slavery back in the 1970s - something about "he'd be damned if he'd be responsible for what happened 300 years earlier."

The fair and impartial ( :rofl: ) moderator from Univision did his best to advocate for illegal aliens with his questions.
And of course, several times Trump was explicitly blamed for recent mass shootings. :facepalm:
In the analysis afterwards, a guy with a cowboy hat - I think he was Bernie's Texas campaign manager - showed how well thought out Bernie's gun control plans were by making reference to his hunting with nonexistent cartridges and saying nobody needs an AR-47 to hunt. (That's right, AR, not AK.)
A GOP spokeswoman mentioned that Beto and other democrats were not going to win many Texas votes by promising to go door to door to confiscate the most popular rifles in America.
All in all, it came off like a three-hour infomercial - for Trump.

I'm kinda glad they're coming out in the open instead of the usual, "We just want this one thing. Can't you give us this one thing?"
Now they're all openly saying, "This is only the first step." I heard the guy who started the CEO letter interviewed on Fox Business this morning. He also said that, "this is only the first step" and that they plan on pushing much more down the pike because, "surveys say our customers want this 5 to 1", and, "We're listening to our customers and employees."

Well, you just have to remember he was thinking of the number of women in the GDP or Gross Domestic Population which is over 19 trillion for the US. It makes sense when you look at it that way.

Yang wants to tax cows for emissions. Which means he's overly taxing poor people to control their diet. Also, how would you even initiate that? You could force it on big producers, but I don't see how you could enforce it with all the small, grass fed operations popping up all over the place. Plus I've been reading a lot about how these smaller producers doing intense pasture feeding with a fast rotation are actually better for the ground and pollute less than many other food sources (like enviro-nazi approved fruit being shipped in from other countries).
I've got a dozen neighbors I could go to, pay cash for a cow, pay cash to the local processor, and have a freezer full of evil meat that the gov knows nothing about.

Are you sure? Remember, when the mad cow disease thing broke out several years ago, the U.S. gummint was able to trace a single cow from somewhere in Canada to a barn somewhere in the United States.

I imagine they could trace small time people raising cows since sale barn records would probably show who sold what to whom. I am not sure what records would be kept for someone who sells a lot of cows to meat processors.

When I was raising feeder pigs I bought from farmers. I bought feed with cash and could (but wont) butcher the hogs myself. I could easily do the same with cattle.
To implement the anti-meat agenda some libtards get moist about there would have to be a serious police state instituted in rural areas that generally don't much care for government interference to begin with.
