If that vote passes, every blue check on twitter will spend 3 months explaining that the US is not a Democracy, it's a Republic, and majority vote doesn't always matter.

While I feel bad for the Californians that want to join with their counties, that would put the kibosh on this iteration. The CA legislature would never approve. Not sure OR has the conservative numbers in theirs either. The conservative supermajority in ID might go for it.

Honestly, if this were approved? I'd likely be moving out of the People's Republik of Oregon right quick. Moving eastward a couple hundred miles would be well worth it.

Probably not, they would be too afraid of Californian infiltrators already embedded with the Oregonians. At least that is the narrative I would be pushing. ;)
