Huge disconnect between the headline and the article and I think the intent is clear

Attorneys Hal Friedman and Greg Simms, however, argue Arnold either shot first or it happened instantaneously.
He was obviously armed with a car and tried to hit the police officers with it so what's with the headline? Yes I know the answer. I hate the media.

Several years ago our local paper ran a breathless headline of “African American man lynched!”
He got into a fight with three other men (and survived with minor injuries) That met some obscure definition of “lynched” so they ran with it.
*expletive deleted*ck every “journalist” with a stick wrapped in rusty barbed wire. They are all about that fear porn.

News is a business, and that business relies on people putting eyeballs on their publications (and the associated advertisements). Clickbait, sensationalist headlines that are designed to inflame serve that business goal -- because they work.

It's no secret, public corporations have a simple goal: Increase shareholder value. Right or wrong, that is there motivation and responsibility. Would you prefer more government interference with that industry?

I would prefer people have a greater sense of morals and responsibility. Government interference in our education system and in the role of families in raising our children is part of the problem.
