...and during the hiring interview, you ask the potential counter monkey to get you a bagel with a schmear, and they just look at you and ask what a schmear is, you should not hire them.

I've only been to one Jewish deli, the rest have been Italian and they don't have bagels.

When I came to STL, back in 1987, I ended up setting up a typesetting and desktop publishing outfit. And the storefront was just around the corner from one of the best delis in town. Not kosher, but a damn fine deli.
