You can blame Bezos.
Per the host, AWS had a major fire in a datacenter and as they only guarantee 99.999% uptime this is just one of those things that happen from time to time.
Backup was restored from 8/2/2022. Nothing of value was determined to have been lost.

Now look here. When I joined this website, I was told I just had to send my $20 to Mike Irwin each month, just like everybody else, and in return I could use the website at any time; night or day. Seems to me, the so-called APS is not holding up its side of the bargain. I intend to cancel my subscription. I suggest you all do the same.
