I found this interesting. Only 13 minutes. Claims some of the early research into psychedelic drugs as a cultural experiment.

this stuff was widely disseminated in the seventies/eighties ... Carter released a lot of classified material ( iirc )

I was thinking about the book Brave New World where everyone was kept happy and shallow and encouraged to get drugged up anytime they didn't feel good. Amounts to the same thing I guess.

IIRC the CIA admitted to having a "heart attack" gun in the 1970s. Fires a small ice projectile filled with some toxin that essentially mimics a heart attack.

Now they just sneak a nude photo of Pelosi onto the poor unsuspecting victim's computer. Has the same effect with a higher success rate. Even in the rare cases it fails to produced a heart attack a suicide usually follows.
