This happened a few months ago- forgive me if this was already posted.
That being said, this is clearly a werewolf. I am surprised there is any debate. =D
Are there any doubters here?

Depends on what caliber

So, how many times should it be shot?
If you use a .45 ACP once will do.
:D
No sense blowing it's lungs out with a 9mm.

And with 5.56 there will be no body left as evidence

Dude in a suit . . . but let's not be sexist, it could be a chick in a suit.

What a dog.
Reminds me of a blind date I had once with a girl from Buffalo. Never figured out what her other parent was.

It is so obvious I am not even sure why there is any debate.
It is Sonic the Hedgehog.

I'm wondering, with everybody running around with high-res, high depth-of focus cameras, and with similar high quality game cameras set up everywhere, how come nobody ever caught a good image of a strange critter.
Hell, I've seen game camera images where you could count the hairs on a deer's ass.*
Or, for that matter, nobody has found any artifacts testifying to its existence besides easily-generated footprints. Not even any Bigfoot scat?
I'm not one to automatically deny weird and unknown possibilities**, but with all the technology unloosed in the searches, nothing beliefworthy has emerged.
What am I missing?

I'd figure by now that an 18 wheeler would have tagged Bigfoot.

^ And trains, too. The tracks in even the wildest country are usually cleared.
I think the zoo "pic" is a seated Playboy bunny.

I have heard people speculate there may be sea creatures who are very skittish of anything making noise. Not too many ocean explorers using sail boats.
Despite everything we have, there are still some areas with some deep wilderness. Less than there used to be maybe. Regardless, a bunch of guys from a Bigfoot TV show running around with bright camera lights aren't going to find a damn thing.

I have seen people claim they have scat and hairs and genetic tests that were either inconclusive or unknown. Still need a captive or a body to prove it.

While there is nothing crazy about the idea of giant primates in the past (there are fossil ones from China), the idea that they are running around in the USA is highly unlikely. With all the millions of Americans walking around with guns in the woods for centuries, no one has ever shot one and recovered the body for examination. If they exist, that is just unbelievable. People have shot hundreds of thousands of bears, cougars, moose, elk, etc, but no one can shoot an 8 foot tall primate. That doesn't make any sense at all.
There is a significant amount of overlap between bigfoot sightings and black bear territory. I think a lot of the credible bigfoot sightings are black bears walking on two feet, as they do sometime. A black bear standing upright is about seven feet tall. Imagine a furry, seven foot tall creature walking upright in the bushes- what you going to think? Yeah, probably bigfoot. It is an easy mistake to make, I would imagine.
Here is a video of bears walking upright.

Bogfoot are very advanced aliens. They have been here for 1000's of years. They think a good time is banging on some old shack in the woods and then turning their cloaking shield on.

I agree it is unlikely. I wouldn't say impossible, but pretty unlikely. However, it is a fun idea to consider.
I remember a show where someone saw something on a satellite picture that looked like the trees had been cleared. It was in a forest up near the Canadian border. It was some distance from even logging roads. Apparently a guy was able to get within a few miles of it, but it took him most of a day to reach the site. Turned out to be a huge beaver damn network. Just struck me that there was a lot of area there where something could disappear if it wanted to. Still unlikely.

I will say I would LOVE for bigfoot (or any cryptid!) to be found...

There was a video some years back of a purported Bigfoot walking through the woods. Various learned "experts" at universities reviewed the footage and said the gait was impossible for a human to duplicate - in one of the forums, I chimed in and said "For all that it STILL looks like a guy in a monkey suit."
Other forum contributors were not amused.
Some years later, the guy who took the footage admitted - it was a hoax, he filmed a guy in a monkey suit. So much for the experts.
(Similar reveal of a famous Loch Ness Monster photo that popped up decades earlier.)
-
Maybe it is a Predator. Supposed to have been part of the hype for the new movie. =)
I heard someone mention Bigfoot vs Predator today. That would be a more interesting movie IMO.

Here in AZ we have our own cryptid called the Mogollon Monster. Basically another Bigfoot.
Probably the spot with the highest sighting count is in the Sierra Ancha mountain range, near Aztec Peak. An area called Workman Creek. Something else that's there is a uranium mine. To this day, there are signs all over the Workman Creek area warning people to not camp nearby and to not spend 24 hours in the area. Bears can't read, though. My thinking is that the "Mogollon Monster" sightings are radiation poisoned bears. Hair loss, joint pain causing them to walk upright, poor sight making them behave oddly.
