Title: Pigeons Again!

Is there any relief???  I successfully evicted the first nesting attempt and prevented the next.  I really, really dont want the pigeon droppings on my balcony.  How can I prevent the next incursion?  Any suggestions?  (And the fake owl was of no help&)  And dont say shoot them.  Dont think that I havent considered that&

Well, my High School tried these pokey metal things, looked like a torture device attached to the side of the building edge, that most definately did not work, they just made their nests in it anyways...

Chicken wire over the areas where they are trying to nest?

Funny pigeon story: Once upon a time in Seattle, one of the major Ford dealers (BP) was having a problem with pigeons nesting under the service drive canopy. One Saturday B Jr. came in and set up in the body shop with one of the roll-up doors open. He was far enough inside so as not to be seen. He had a nice .22 with scope, and shooting .22 Bees, soon eliminated the problem without alarming the neighbors.

.177 cal pellet guns with reasonable velocity, (don't need screamers) work well.  

No noise and very low expense.

Contact a Wildlife Officer, A Nursery, Perhaps a old fashioned Feed and Seed dealer.

There is some plant , bush , ...something that offends and keeps the pigeons - so I have  heard.

Long time ago I had an elderly couple that were really knowledgeable such matters. Had a Herb garden , regular garden , flowers and whatnot.

Reason we had no mosquitos or snakes around our pond was because back when the platt was new - they brought ducks in - on purpose, and sure enough - we didn't have Mosquitos , snakes around the pond.

They mentioned some plants , and stuff were planted in with the rose bushes and other stuff to keep critters, pesky flying critters like wasp - away.

I forget what they said sometimes worked for Pigeons. They thought a shotgun was the best - in lieu of that, something planted was suggested.

Did not recommend dousing places with Bleach , or Ammonia.  Now that kept raccons out of the trash cans...
