Books by Michael F. Scheuer
« on: July 03, 2008, 11:08:30 AM »
I ran across him hawking his latest book on one of the cspan channels the other day. I liked enough of what he said that I ordered the book.

He is formerly the head of the Bin Laden unit at the CIA. has a lot of interesting, if somewhat troubling observations. I did like his unequivocal statement that he would prefer to just kill Bin Laden.

He does seem to be a little less squeamish about collateral damages than most of us are. He also does not seem to understand that all kinds of things go wrong in military operations. Its hard enough to coordinate the plumber and the electrician to do some minor remodeling, much less run a war.
