Im a bitter American who clings to his guns because Senator Joe Biden has been trying to ban them for 35 years. As defacto leader and spokesman for the gun control movement in the US Senate Biden has tried to ban every gun I own except my muzzleloader.
Biden, himself, wrote the anti-crime bill of 1994 which promised to put 100,000 cops on the street and included the infamous Assault Weapons Ban which President Clinton complained cost the Democrats control of Congress.
Bidens Assault Weapons Ban is one of the biggest frauds ever perpetrated on the American people. The bill bans the manufacture of guns with certain cosmetic features. But, because it doesnt ban the sale or possession of anything, it didnt take a single gun off the street. And, during the year before the ban, so many of the dreaded AK-47 style semi-auto rifles were imported that the market was flooded, prices fell by over 50 percent, and hundreds of thousands of guns were sold. Ten years after the ban the guns were still readily available in any gun store in the country for less than they cost in 1993. And to pour salt in the wound Biden is currently sponsoring yet another ban on semi-auto firearms.
In 2004, when Biden made all the Sunday talk shows complaining that letting his ban expire would endanger police by putting assault weapons back on the street, but you cant put something back on the street that you never took off the street. His web site still claims the same bill put 100,000 new police on the street despite Janet Renos admission that it was only about half that number. Bill and Hillary are also still telling the same tall tale.
The entire gun control movement has been built on lies and misinformation. One of my favorites is the Biden pronouncement on the liberal Sunday morning TV news shows that the Glock polymer framed handgun was an all plastic Terrorist handgun that was only good for hijacking airplanes. The gun actually contains a pound of steel, has never been used to hijack an airplane, and is now the weapon of choice of the Washington, DC police department because of its light weight and state of the art safety features.
Bidens list of gun ban issues includes banning small, inexpensive handguns, registration schemes, licensing schemes, banning gun shows, a ban on many popular rifle bullets by defining them as Teflon coated handgun bullets (cop killer bullets and/or armor piercing bullets), and many more.
Both Biden and Obama have voted to allow New York mayor Bloomberg to continue his crusade to bankrupt gun manufacturers with frivolous law suits.
Both supported the Washington, DC total handgun ban and Obama declared it was Constitutional. Fox even has the interview on tape. Of course Obama said that he agreed with the Supreme Court after it ruled the law unconstitutional.
Obama not only expressed support for the Chicago total handgun ban, he was one of only a handful of Illinois Senators who voted to prosecute anyone in Chicago who had the audacity to use a handgun to defend themselves or their families in their own homes. Obama has also called for a national ban on concealed carry which would disarm millions of law abiding citizens nation wide.
In the recent Heller Vs Washington, DC Supreme Court decision the Court ruled five to four that the Second Amendment provided an individual right to keep and bear arms. The four dissenting justices said the right belonged only to active members of the national guard. If given the chance Biden and Obama would both appoint new justices who would agree with the minority and overturn that decision.
Senator Biden and his prodigy Barack Obama would be the most virulent anti-gun administration ever elected.
There are around seventy million gun owners in the United States. It is entirely possible that the gun owners and hunters in swing states like Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Michigan could decide the November presidential election if they are made aware of the facts on this issue.
