I've got to do some tile repair in the master shower.

Clean a few handguns, and hopefully find time to play with my new Colt.

Well, I was going to Key Largo to reshoot an IDPA classifier that I blew last weekend then go play my monthly Hold 'em game at a friend's.  Something about being gone all day and most of the night my wife didn't agree with.  So, skipping the classifier and playing poker.  Might do some shopping and catch 'Hitch' tomorrow afternoon now.

One of my fraternity brother's, actually my pledge son is getting married on Saturday. I decided since I am going stag to spoil myself with a hotel room instead of a motel room, plus it is a short walk about 2 blocks from the reception.

Taxes on Saturday    I've been invited to a Sonics game on Sunday.  While I'm not a big pro basketball fan, the seats are apparently quite good and I wouldn't have dreamed of turning down the invitation.

I promised Mrs. Sawdust that I would do them this weekend.

Tomorrow, having an auction of my mother in law's estate.  Sunday, Friends of the NRA meeting.

Someday, there is going to be a weekend where I can just relax at home.

I'm heading up to Eugene to check out the various brands of big screen HDTVs.

Our local Sears has a couple of Sonys and Toshibas in stock, but that's pretty much it. I'd like to see in person the differences between the RPTVs/DLPs/LCD projections TVs. I'm leaning Hitachi, what with the excellent reviews that I've read about them, but who knows? I may change my mind once I get up there. Wink

My local Sears has 51" (at least I think that it's a 51?) RPTV. I don't think that it's one of those RP LCD model, though.

A friend who was also checking out big screens awhile back mentioned that he looked at various Sonys while he was at a store in Portland. He talked on and on about the Sony's excellent picture and overall sharpness. I'll definitely have to put them down on my "must check out" list. Wink

My only reservation about Sony is what I've read about their quote "crappy customer service", and that some of their RPTVs are known for "red push", whatever that means. Of course, all of this negative Sony bashing was done on the error-net, so I should probably take it all with a grain of salt, I guess. Still, it makes me wonder about the quality control on their big screens (I've had my 31" Sony for over 9 nine flawless years).  More research is needed.

i think i'll clean my ar tomorrow. if only to irritate my retardo roommate that cant stand the smell of hoppes.

sunday WA is coming by to drag me out of bed and haul my lardo-rearend to a gun show, where i will commence drooling over guns i can't afford to buy.

you know, part of me wishes i owned my own house and whatnot, but the more i think about it, i really like having absolutely no responsibilities whatsoever. i literally can spend every weekend doing absolutely nothing.

will change once i get mobile, then i'll be able to do nothing somewhere other than my basement apartment.

Well tonight it is party time so i have to go pick up the kegs in a little bit. Tomorrow i work and then am hitting the range and installing my XM satelite radio. Then Sunday there is an open SCCA circuit. i might race the vert or just go to watch and learn.
But my dreams they aren't as empty
As my conscience seems to be
I have hours, only lonely
My love is vengeance

1. Final pass and transcrbe to ink the Fed and State tax forms.

2. I'm fed up with ATI's bug ridden software, so I'm gonna start figuring out how to replace the ATI dren with something like Beyond Media, or a suite of seperate applicaitons on my MediaPC.  I want to be able to timeshift some programs that air while I'm at work, play DVDs and I'd LIKE to be able to use the remote that shipped with the ATI card in the box.

3. Take another stab at getting into Nymgen with just two Sherman tanks and eight crew against a hord of freaking Germans, King Tigers tanks, Panthers tanks, 88mm flak guns and the like in the game Soldiers: Heroes of Wold War II
I am free, no matter what rules surround me. If I find them tolerable, I tolerate them; if I find them too obnoxious, I break them. I am free because I know that I alone am morally responsible for everything I do.

Wedding invites to do and post. Seat reservations to confirm, cleaning to do, snow to shovel (in kent fer bobs sake!), maybe service the bike, go to the range and try and figure out what use those silly harnesses are that everyone else wears at my club. Service the bike, change the power steering pump on the car, maybe even relax with SWMBO if I get the chance.

Play a bit of DoW if she lets me too. Spend too much time here so she starts ranting about "that bloody forum, you're such a geek" Smiley. Yes dearest and you're the one that wants to breed more of them.

schuey, if its anything like the last gunshow i went too....hmmm, also with WA, there was so much stuff that people were claiming were 'custom smith work blah blah blah worth $xxxx but we'll sell it for $xxx', and really was only worth $xx.

i know one guy who has had a table at gunshows since i started going to them, and he hasnt sold anything. i know hes tried selling it in the classified section as well, and also on other online boards.

gunshows up here are so disappointing. the only good deals to be had are made between those who have tables because they can get first crack at stuff before everyone else is let in. out of the half dozen gun shows i've went to, i've seen maybe 3 guns get bought, and havent seen anything i'd want to buy.

edit - there are two things i expect i'll be willing to buy: caribou and reindeer sausage, and i'm hoping the guy who sells animal skulls is there. a otter skull would look really cool in one of my tarantula tanks.
