Hobo With A Shotgun...
« on: August 13, 2011, 09:59:53 PM »
... is pure schlocky cinematic gold.

Blood/gore effects rival that of Army of Darkness.  Villainous behavior so over the top it would make Hannibal Lecter, Magneto and Butcho team up to take these bad guys down.

And it even had a hot-chick-welding-montage.

....and I'll bet you watch ZARDOZ for its artistic expressionism, too....
Impressed yet befogged, they grasped at his vivid leading phrases, seeing only their surface meaning, and missing the deeper current of his thought.

I agree; this movie was brilliant, and I don't think they could have done better than Rutger Hower.

Wow, that was the bloodiest movie I've seen since The Story of Riki.

Honestly I doubt I would have seen this one if not for Rutger Hauer.  By the way, for more Rutger Hauer goodness, check out The Golden Age of Crap by Nathan Shumate:

There was one where he had this genius gun maker put together the most powerful handgun in the world for him. We weren't supposed to notice that it was just a Hammerli .22.

I thought we all agreed we were never going to talk about that night again.
