In southwestern Illinois, most prices are around $2.499/gal for regular and have been there for about 2 weeks.
Looking at stlouisgasprices.com, St. Louis City has prices running $2.079 - $2.199 depending on location.  Oddly enough, about 2 weeks ago, prices in St. Louis County were lower (by $.05-.15) than in the city but are now ranging from $2.069 - $2.259/gal.

Prices have been hard on the move for the last couple of weeks all across the US. I saw yesterday that the national average is now $2.70 a gallon for unleaded. It's hit $2.75 at the Citgo near my house.

Seeing a lot of people clammoring about how this is Biden's doing... well, it's not. At least most of it's not. But what could come later? Yeah, he'll have a big hand in continuing higher prices if he continues to clamp down on drilling and exploration. As I've continually said, the Democrats are in full punish the American people with outlandish energy prices because they had the audacity to prove the great and glorious Jesusbama wrong... we COULD drill our way to lower gas prices.

And now you've got the chief Saudi oil minister taunting the US that our shale oil industry can no longer wield the hammer that it did over the last decade. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-03-04/saudis-bet-drill-baby-drill-is-over-in-push-for-pricier-oil

Filled up for $2.599. While biden can't take all the blame for the recent price increases he's certainly doing all he can to make them even higher.

Because I do mainly diesel that is what I look at.

In my little burg diesel was 2.85 if you paid cash or debit. In Las Vegas I saw it for as much as 3.09 yesterday but most were 3.03.

You can add 10 cents per gallon for credit.

Regular Unleaded in town was 2.69 cash price.

Holy crap, it feels like CA here. $2.94 at the local station when I filled up this morning. I can't remember the last time I broke $50 for a fill up. The Costco is $2.75. Most of the area seems to be $2.90ish.

Murphy's gas here is still on the low side at $2.43 for 10%, $2.93 for non-ethanol.

The Citgo near my house has always been on the low side for my immediate area... it's still sitting at $2.75.

The Sunoco around the corner is at $2.77.

The Shell across the street from the Sunoco is at $2.84... BUT! They participate in a rewards points program with the local grocery chain. Right now I can get 40 cents off a gallon. After my shopping trip Saturday that should be 60 cents off a gallon.

I had to tank up this morning, so I only saved 40 cents a gallon. Brought the price down to $2.449 a gallon.

Still hurt to see that meter click past $30...

About a week ago, prices in this area of IL-ANNOY just east of St. Louis rose almost $0.40/gal to $2.999.  :O
Two days afterwards, there was a news story that we might see prices at $3/gal by April.

$2.699 locally.

On the bright side I'm not spending $80 a week to go to work.

We just broke $3 here. I wouldn't be surprised if we're back on our way to 2014 prices.

$ 2.91/gallon yesterday at the Marysville Costco, 45 miles north of Seattle.  According to my Fuelly app, it has gone up ten cents since the last time I filled up the Tacoma two weeks ago.

The Green Energy Movement that the Democrats represent is like what the progressive liberals always do;  they destroy what they don't like before having any alternative that works, or makes sense, or is consumer friendly or actually has harmful consequences.

Didn't you know that paying triple for your green produced electric, along with the inevitable power outages that will result due to lack of backup reserve generation, are fundamental human rights?

I mean, what are you? Some kind of... conservative?

Destroy or simply make the most efficient fuel too expensive. At $6/gal gasoline, it's easier to push the more expensive, even when gov subsidized, alternatives. The new admin wants to push electric out well ahead of what is operationally sensible. To do that, you have to kill the more convenient energy sources and take away choices.

The cheap stuff went up $0.10 overnight.  It's now up to $2.58.

Not that long ago it was <$1.98.

Up to $2.799 here -- it seems to have gone up about 10 cents per week since Biden took office. Since COVID-19 and self-isolation, I don't drive much any more. I filled up my Cherokee yesterday for the first time in several weeks. Sticker shock! The fill-up cost me $46. I haven't spent more than $30 for a fill-up since Trump took office.
