It's starting to spike here in DC metro.

Sunoco near my house is up to $3.69.

Exxon a few miles down the road (one on either side of the road, oddly enough) and the shell across the street are up to $3.85 this morning.

Headed up to $3.69. Was holding at 3.49 for a few days.

But ya know opening up US production will have no effect on lowering prices. Said by the same people who believe presidential policy has no effect on prices.

Dems want to punish America for proving to St. Barak the First of his Name that yes, you CAN drill your way to lower prices.

This is going to provide another huge shot in the arm for Republicans in the upcoming elections--if they're smart enough to use it the way it should be used.

3.85 for 89 Octane here yesterday, I think the 87 was 3.65. I would imagine it is 4.00+ over the hill in Las Vegas.

Holy crap. An hour after I posted that I drove to Boise. Two hours later, I'm driving back home and all the rural stations on my route just jumped from $3.69 to $3.76.

Several stations around me have jumped like mad.

Shell is $3.79.

Sunoco across the street from it is $3.89.

The Global (used to be the Citgo) around the corner is $3.69.

I'm expecting all of those prices to have gone up by the time I get home from work this afternoon.
