OK, recent posters, are the prices you seeing in your areas up, down, or the same?

The prices in my area have been pretty stable the last couple of weeks, most above $4 a gallon, but the Global down the street keeps bouncing back and forth between $3.99 and $4.09.

They're at $4.09 right now.

Seems to vary up or down $0.20 to 0.30 depending upon the day.

Here (in N TX) it's been between $3.79 $ $4.09 for the last few weeks.  The last week or so it's been hovering around the $3.79 mark.

That's for the cheap stuff.  Diesel & non-ethanol are usually $0.50 more.

Gas is likely to get more expensive.  Another Texas refinery closing permanently.

We're back up to the $3.95 to $3.99 range.  Not much spread between different stations.

Prices are all over the place from $3.59 to $4 in north Houston and the surrounding area.  There can be 20¢ difference between two stations on the same block.  Most are probably close to $3.69

"Oil at $1.02/barrel right now"

I wish oil were at $1.02 a barrel.

Gasoline would be about a half cent a gallon.

Bit of a typo there.
Besides we all know it would go down about 2 cents  :P

Global down the street from me went from $4.09 last week to $4.29 today.

The Shell where I trade in my grocery store rewards points is up to $4.39 and the Sunoco across the street is up to $4.42.

The Global (formerly Citgo) is one of the few stations around that carries kerosene. For years it had been at $3.99 a gallon.

Noticed yesterday that it's now $5.99 a gallon.

In the Tyler TX area I found gas from $3.85 (where I filled up)* to $4.15, diesel was $5.19 +/- $.10 everywhere I saw.

*I remember when, not too long ago, it cost ~$20 to fill the car, today was $58.00.  Let's go Brandon!  You *expletive deleted*ing Liberal ahole!

If i was still commuting to Tulsa every day my monthly fuel bill would be over $500 a month.

$3.74 at sams club.

That said, I think my MPG won't be so good on this fill up, on account of the 33 gallons I added being too heavy for the corroded fuel tank strap...  Efffff

You retired at the right time.

And that's why I'm glad that I dragged my feet about going to the new office when it opened last August.

That facility is 11-12 miles from my house.

The office where I'm working is literally 2 miles up the street.

I haven't thought much about fuel cost for going somewhere as a retired bum. The other day though, I was thinking with most stuff being around a 60 mile round trip from me and the low 20s MPG of my vehicles, that's a ~$12 trip every time. It makes it very worthwhile to spend $10 on some nuts and bolts at the local hardware store even if they're only $6 at the home despot.

There has not been a new greenfield refinery opened in this country since 1977, due mostly to federal and state regulatory burdens.  Older refineries are being permanently taken offline (two so far that I have read about this year, others in the northeast in recent years).  Fewer oil field pipelines to carry oil to shipping points are being approved, forcing drillers to truck oil to major pipeline head ends or even to refineries.
Given those and other factors, I wonder if we may have finally entered a phase where POL prices will only rise in the future?

Just hit $4.35 here in SW Ohio.  Gonna be an expensive trip this weekend dragging the RV to WV for some trout fishing in the mountains east of Elkins….
