"Saudi doesn't have as much clout as it once had to conduct oil price wars."

Well they would if we had just listened to St. Obama when he told us that we couldn't drill our way to lower gasoline prices and that the US energy sector should get used to being a has been and never will be again.

We're such bastards to think that we can be deterministic.

Went to 1.99 here today.  I also have a AAA Master Card that gives me a 5% discount on gasoline.

I saw $1.85 per gallon in Muskogee yesteday, and $1.86 just south of Denison, Texas (north of Dallas) today.  It was about $2 between those two and further south.

No movement here in Northern Virginia, but I didn't expect any so soon.

Wholesale gasoline has dropped below $1 a gallon for the first time since 2016.

I filled up for $1.80 yesterday afternoon North of Tulsa.

Prices here in Northern Virginia still have no budged.

This is ludicrous. Wholesale prices have been tanking for weeks and our prices are staying put.

I was about to post the same. Wholesale is practically free, and we actually went up a dime a week or so ago.

Well remember...

It's almost time to switch the more expensive winter gasoline for the more expensive summer gasoline.

Finally starting to see price movement. Station near my office is down 4 cents to $2.24.

Meanwhile, gasoline futures have plummeted to 85 cents a gallon....

I filled up four days ago at the Marysville Costco for $ 2.65/gallon.  GasBuddy tells me that it is the same price now.

I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

Usually the Murphy's I use and the Brookshire's (grocery store) are the same price.  Brookshire's is down to $1.98 for E10/85, Murphy's decided to tear out the tanks just this week.

The Vallero around the corner is usually the better part of a dime more than Brookshire's, today they're at $1.99.

Man, something screwy is going on. Where I live gas is still ~$2.60. Where my dad lives in CA? $2.70. CA is usually at least a dollar more there than here. I wonder what's going on? Did CA suspend their gas tax because of the virus or something?

This article talks about the falling gas prices in CA, but I haven't found an explanation for the now relatively high prices in Idaho.

Still around $1.97 to $1.99 here in Hickory, NC. Saw a Love's along I-70 today on the way to Statesville advertising $1.86.  Love's does tend to bounce around out of sync with everyone else, however.

The price at the Citgo near my house FINALLY dropped yesterday, from $2.29 to $2.19. That's the first solid drop I've seen in gas prices in Northern Virginia. All of the other stations are sitting where they've been for weeks, even though the price of oil, and the wholesale price of refined gasoline, have dropped by nearly 50%.

I know industry people will say "well, the cheaper oil/gas have to work their way through the system. The product that's in the system now is the higher priced product so we can't drop prices yet.

But... that sure as *expletive deleted*ck don't keep them from ratcheting up prices fast as anything when wholesale prices go up, even though the cheaper product is still in the system.

$1.75 yesterday evening.  That was with a 10 cent per gallon discount Buc Ee's gives using a local bank credit card.
