I'll believe it when I see it C19 or not.

Gas prices could hit 99 cents in some states due to coronavirus, supplies expert says

My old truck driver contacts remember when crude was $30/bbl, and diesel was $1.20. Of course they think it's a conspiracy that it's been hovering around $30/bbl for quite a while but diesel prices haven't dropped much.

I still remember when diesel was always cheaper than gas, so people bought diesel vehicles because the fuel was cheaper. Diesel has been more expensive than gas for how long? So the economics changed somehow for some reason.
Maybe a rare occurence, but then you only have to get murdered once to ruin your whole day.

Hell, I remember when crude was $12 a barrel and gasoline was 59 cents a gallon in the 1970s.

Did .Gov step in and jack up taxes on diesel when people started buying diesel cars and pickups?

I thought it was due to the change to ultra-low sulfur.

I started driving in 1978 and paying for my own gas.  I recall that it was around 63 cents per gallon in the Seattle area.

West Texas Intermediate is trading at $25 and change right now and it's looking like it could drop below that today.

Several companies/analysts have predicted that oil could, for a period of time, drop into the teens if the Saudis and Russians don't come to some sort of agreement and also if Corona hasa a big impact on the summer driving season.

Gas buddy says that they lowest price in Virginia right now is $1.49 a gallon.

Northern Virginia? Average is still in the $2.20s.

Saw it in Tyler TX just off I20 for $1.71.  Did I stop?  No - instead I drove another 40 miles or so and paid $1.92.

I saw $1.79 in Fargo, ND today.

It’s hovering around the $2 mark in rural Minnesota.

Saw a second station over in Statesville along I-40 advertising $1.86.  Still around $1.94 to $1.99 in my neck of the woods.  Very little movement in price, a penny or two down each week or so.
If there really was intelligent life on other planets, we'd be sending them foreign aid.

Conservatives see George Orwell's "1984" as a cautionary tale.  Progressives view it as a "how to" manual.

My wife often says to me, "You are evil and must be destroyed." She may be right.

Liberals believe one should never let reason, logic and facts get in the way of a good emotional argument.
