Saw $1.68 this afternoon somewhere NE of Tulsa.

And the station near my house that went from $2.29 to $2.19 and then the next day back to $2.25?

It's now dropped to $2.21.

I agree there are more useful sources for actual information on the net.  So don't look at me, I didn't start this thread.

The OP:

Over the past couple of weeks the price of crude oil has been slipping quite a bit, as have gasoline futures.

Oil's down nearly $20 a barrel, and gasoline futures are down nearly 35 cents. (Home heating oil is also dropping, but not nearly as much).

Slowly we're seeing prices move lower at the pump.

At the station nearest me, a Citgo, the price for regular is $3.15 a gallon, which is about as low as I've seen it in my area.

The takeaway?  Pump prices have fluctuated, but seem to have dropped about a buck/gal in 5-1/2 years.

" I agree there are more useful sources for actual information on the net."

I agree, as well. Gas buddy is particularly useful.

My intent on starting this thread was to just see what our members were seeing where they live.

Information resource quite low.

Interest resource quite high.

And finally I'm seeing drops at more stations in my area in Northern Virginia. A few stations have dropped by a dime in the last few days.

No, I think your intent was to get me pissed off regarding all the APS members paying under $2/gal.

Filled up for $1.45 last night.  Haven't seen the price yet today.  This is in small-town, SE Wisconsin.

I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

Tomorrow on my way south I'll be passing through Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Looks like most of the stations proximate to I-95 at the exit where I get onto state routes are in the $1.70s.

According to the range meter on the new Subaru I have 210 mile range on the just over half tank I have right now, so I'll probably get gas on the way.

West Texas Intermediate Crude just dropped below $20 a barrel.

Wholesale RBOB gasoline is about to drop below 60 cents a gallon.

We're still around $1.92 in this area, with the exception of a Citgo I saw on the way home from work at $1.71, and Sam's Club at $1.63.
Don't know why there is a wide difference between them.
If there really was intelligent life on other planets, we'd be sending them foreign aid.

Conservatives see George Orwell's "1984" as a cautionary tale.  Progressives view it as a "how to" manual.

The Citgo near my house has finally dropped a bit more. It's now sitting at $2.15.

I've seen a couple of places in Northern Virginia that are as low as $2.09.

The Exxon near where I shop? I've mentioned before that it's an isolated station, the only one for several miles in either direction so they think they have a monopoly?

Still sitting at $2.99 a gallon.

Meanwhile, in Castle Key's neck of the woods, it's generally around $1.79 a gallon.

I paid $1.89 in Fredericksburg, VA, right off I-95 on my way down, but it was 10 or more cents a gallon cheaper at several other stations on that stretch.
