Lord it's a miracle, we're finally below $2 here.

Wow.  It's about a buck more here, but still lower than it has been in years.

Nothing my wife won't let me go anywhere. We are up to four cases in our county and none of them close to us but I guess that gives me more time to be online.

Oh, it's getting real interesting in OPEC+ land...

Supposed earlier today the Saudis and Russians and everyone else agreed to cuts of up to 20 MILLION barrels a day. Then 10 MILLION barrels a day. Still huge...

Crude was skyrocketing...

Then, things seemed to hit a snag, and the price start falling...

Mexico refused to agree to its share of the cuts.

By close of trading, the price was off 7.5%, back to $23.19 a barrel for WTI.

And they're heading back tomorrow for another day of talks, but reports are that there's still a lot of trouble in paradise...

WTI oil prices have collapsed this morning. Now just above $11 a barrel, and likely to drop even more as there is now no available bulk storage for oil.

Are the dems still blocking topping off the Strategic Oil Reserves? Because there's lots of room there at a taxpayer steal of $11/barrel.

Saw a $1.59 at a Citgo station up in Granite Falls Sunday morning.  Otherwise, it's between $1.63 to $1.69 most places.

At those prices our fracking industry is likely near collapse, if it's not already dead.  And I doubt we're a self-sufficient oil exporting nation anymore.  But that's all fodder for a different thread.

We're down to .99 per gallon for "unleaded 88," .89 for flexfuel.  Here's the breakdown from a local station:

Unleaded E 87  - 1.049
Unleaded 88 - 0.999
Premium 93 - 1.849
Premium 91 - 1.699
E85 - 0.899
Diesel - 2.049

Been stuck on $1.099 for a few weeks here. Not sure if it will drop much further since about 1/2 of that is fuel taxes. 32.5 IA tax, 18.4 fed tax.

Dang. Almost half of what I'm paying. $1.90 in town.

$.95/gallon at Costco this past Friday.

Canadian oil went negative (pay you to take it?) for a little bit over the weekend.

I promise not to duck.

Wait, I thought $150 per barrel was the new norm???

Ongoing concerns over swelling oil inventories pushed West Texas Intermediate crude for May delivery down by as much as 77 percent to $4.05 per barrel.

WTI just hit 21 CENTS a barrel.

Complete and total market collapse.

Brent is still around $26 a barrel...

This is an expiring contract. It could jump back up with the new contract cycle.

That's for May delivery.  Actual physical delivery of the oil.  The storage tanks are nearly full and no one wants to take delivery, so the price tanks.

Still. Negative is still....weird.

That said the range in my aoe is largely 1.49-1.53. Gonna be hitting the road in a few, will make note of what it's like a bit north of me.

I wonder how many pumps will be idle in the coming weeks, or have a very short daily quota.
