The local Murphy's is down to $3.41 for the cheap stuff.

I've been using https://www.pure-gas.org/ for years to find sober gas.

Several of the stations near me have dropped a few more cents.

Everyone is still well over $4 a gallon, though.

Just paid $3.499 at the local Exxon yesterday. That's down a bit from last month.

I looked in my notebook, and found that on 01/07/2021 - THE DAY AFTER THE INSURRECTION - I paid $1.899. That's up $1.60 a gallon, or +84%.

And the bill just passed by the dems includes added taxes on oil - OF COURSE raising taxes on a product will reduce the price.

$3.99 at the Marysville Costco, 45 miles north of downtown Seattle.  My Fuelly app tells me the last time I filled up for under $ 4/gallon was back in late February 2022.

I don't like this at all.

This reversal in gasoline prices and their recent legislative wins could do a lot to reverse feelings against the Dems heading into the election.

That is just as likely a reaction to the betrayals on the gun control bill.  Or it is just polling variations and mean nothing.

Nothing is ever easy or guaranteed.  Trump was supposed to win easily in 2020, but COVID among other things muddied the waters quite a bit.

Back up to $4.29.

I wonder if they were running a special or something.

I just paid $3.359 to tank of my Forester. $45 even for just a hair shy of 13.5 gallons.

The reason why I paid $3.359?

Because I had $1 a gallon off in grocery rewards points.

Otherwise I'd have paid right around $60.

Thanks, Brandon, for whatever you're not doing, you dementia addled *expletive deleted*che bag.

Crude and RBOB are falling HARD today.

WTI is down $4.45 a barrel (cosing in on $87 a barrel) and RBOB is down 13 cents to $2.91.

Falling too soon. We need to prop those prices up put pressure on Brandon...

Two days later and the local price is now down to $3.19 for e10.  Diesel is $4.11 and non-ethanol is $3.66.

I find it hard to believe the prices falling like this are due to lower demand.
