I drove 30 minutes into CA (Shoshone) today and diesel was 7.19 a gallon. Glad I wasn't buying.

I'm surprised no one has stolen their wagon in an attempt to replace the car with a more affordable hay burner.

The Global down the street from me?

Overnight it went $3.439 to $3.379.

I need to tank up the Scooby today.

I have enough grocery store rewards points to get $1 a gallon off.

Nice.

Is there anything to the rumor about diesel shortage? I've heard various numbers between 2 weeks to 2 months before we supposedly run out of diesel and our society comes crashing down.

Well...

Those, however, are stories from mainstream style media, which you obviously can't trust because it's false mind control news.

On the diesel shortage, in my own reading I've found it interesting that stories I have read about "We're all gonna die!" and "Don't worry, it's overblown." have been coming almost equally from both the right and left. Usually something like this has some partisan component, but I haven't seen it here in my own reading, for whatever that may mean.

FL had a gas tax holiday in Oct, but now Tampa prices are at 3.39 a gal.  Diesel is over $5/gal still.  I just looked at my statement, and from Oct 8 to today, during the tax holiday, the wife and I spent $475.71 on gas.  It'll be over $500 this month.

Gas at the local grocery (Brookshire's) dropped another $0.10 overnight.  It's now down to $2.89.  Diesel's still at $4.55.

Prices have been bouncing around at the stations near my house the last couple of weeks here in Northern Virginia.

At the Global down the street from me they went from $3.35 to $3.43 to $3.57 for regular unleaded in the span of about a week a few weeks ago. They held at $3.57 until about 3 days ago when they fell back to $3.37 quite rapidly.

The other stations haven't been bouncing around as much, but they're also slowly coming back down.

And, today, crude prices are flirting with dropping below $80 a barrel.

I never hear about biodiesel anymore. I wonder why.

It's not a winter blend due to gelling reasons, so I'm told.

Interesting thing I wasn't aware of. Does biodiesel not react to anti-gel additives like dino diesel does?

Tangent: Holy hell, I had to go to three different places this month before I found anti-gel to stick in the tractor and spare diesel cans.
