OK, I get going the low road and servicing the base desires of folks as a means to make money.  Sex, drugs, violence, etc. almost always sells to someone.

But how would this company make money if their product never or almost never resulted in hook ups?  Eventually, even the most desperate wanna-be adulterer is going to to stop mashing the mouse button.

Is it just a grand facade of baloney to pump up perceived value and then sell out to some nitwit with more millions than brains?

The Gizmodo article said that guys were paying money to buy a fantasy.  Probably not much different than shelling out money at a strip club, although at a club you at least get to look at something.
