Well, they have to pander to them to make them "brand loyal" as per wikileaks.

In English, with an occasional Spanish phrase thrown in.

Is it really awkward and uncomfortable, like Hillary using hip ebonic vocabulary or affecting a a black accent in front of a black audience?

Because seeing Northeastern and elite-school stiffs and pet minorities from the Caribbean(1) do that sort of thing is mildly entertaining.

I thought this thread was going to be about Schultz getting booed at her breakfast speech and having to be escorted out by a heavy security presence.

Then there was the booing and Bernie chants at the opening invocation.

The Democrats are having the *expletive deleted*it show everyone said the Republicans were going to have.

For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity, that they may be without excuse. Because knowing God, they didn’t glorify him as God, and didn’t give thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.

I wish I had a food booth at the convention where I could sell eggs and tomatoes to disgruntled Bernie supporters . . .  >:D
Trump won in 2016. Democrats haven't been so offended since Republicans came along and freed their slaves.

Philly's police union is mad.  The Dems are allowing the relatives of suspects killed by police to speak at the convention, but not the widows or families of fallen officers:

http://www.baynews9.com/content/news/baynews9/news/article.html/content/news/articles/ap/2016/07/21/Union_mad_police_victims_have_voice_at_DNC_not_cops_widows.html

Quote
PHILADELPHIA -- (AP) Philadelphia's police union is condemning Hillary Clinton for allowing relatives of people killed by police to speak at the Democratic National Convention without giving equal time to families of fallen officers.

John McNesby, president of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge No. 5, said the union is insulted by the decision to exclude families of officers killed in the line of duty.

"It is sad that to win an election Mrs. Clinton must pander to the interests of people who do not know all the facts, while the men and women they seek to destroy are outside protecting the political institutions of this country," he wrote in Wednesday's statement.

Nesby ends by saying: "Mrs. Clinton, you should be ashamed of yourself if that is possible."

So much for uniting the nation.

Be interesting if the officers that are working the convention are doing so in scope of their normal duties or being paid by the DNC as a second job.  If it is a second job not within the scope of their normal duties they should tell the DNC to pound sand and find other security.

I clicked on a Youtube video just now, and it started off with a Bernie Sanders campaign ad. It was mainly an attack on Clinton, for making speeches to Wall Street.

Interesting timing, Bernie.

"White people to the back":

http://www.wral.com/sanders-urges-fans-to-rally-behind-clinton-as-dnc-heats-up/15878721/#r3XVk9hHjvYTUtFo.99

Quote
Protest leader Erica Mines told the crowd it was an "anti-police rally" and a "black and brown resistance march" and instructed all white people to move to the back. The crowd chanted: "Power to the people! No power to these pigs!"

It's not all facepalm, however:

Police estimated 5,500 people took part in Monday's opening-day protests. Many of the marchers chanted, "Hey, hey, ho, ho, the DNC has got to go!" and carried signs reading "Never Hillary," ''Just Go to Jail Hillary" and "You Lost Me at Hillary."

Hmmm . . . maybe we can find common ground.

Probably not. I'd guess they're hard-corps Berntards that are ultimately mad Hillary is more of a corporatist kleptocrat from their POV, and are "we want free... everything!"-Marxists at heart.  =|

Yes. I was being facetious.

In related news: Sanders supporters claim that their signs are being confiscated inside the convention:
