"F*** the NRA"
« on: May 11, 2018, 05:29:25 PM »
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2018/05/11/dem-candidate-compels-tv-station-to-run-f-nra-ad.html

Quote
A Democratic congressional candidate is mincing no words in his latest anti-gun campaign ad.

“F--- the NRA," Pat Davis declares in the ad's first few seconds.

And thanks to federal election law, a local CBS affiliate in New Mexico says it is compelled to run the ad, uncensored.

KRQE was set to air the potty-mouthed pol's message Friday afternoon. In a statement on its website, KRQE General Manager Bill Anderson said they cannot censor the ad because of "federal election rules" that prohibit them from editing political commercials. He said the station planned to run a disclaimer beforehand.

I actually like it when people like Potty-Mouth Pat are so . . . direct.  At least we know what he thinks of us.

Back in 1980, a guy named Barry Commoner ran for POTUS under the "Citizen's Party." He ran an ad with the bovine scatological word  "B*******T" and the law required it be broadcast unedited. I remember hearing that ad - it raised quite a few eyebrows then, and people were offended.

He didn't win.
Trump won in 2016. Democrats haven't been so offended since Republicans came along and freed their slaves.

Wait...a...second...

A plan is forming... I'm 3/4 finished with it.

1. We get a sucker volunteer to run for office
2. We make a vulgar commercial that the TV and radio stations must play
3. ?
4.  Profit and rule the country!

Flawless victory!!  [ar15]

The real question is how do we skew the polls to make it look like an effective tactic so all the other Dem candidates will try it?  That might finally throw off the older yellow-dog D's who are convinced it's still the party of JFK.

It's like they've never noticed that when folks start getting really strident about imposing gun control, NRA memberships and gun sales go up.

To them I say: Keep it up, tards!

It's beautiful.  Fine the station for profanity if they air the ad, fine them for violating election laws if they refuse or if they edit it.

Profit, indeed!

Edit: if I were the station manager, I would air the ad at the most offensive times possible w/o running a disclaimer or warning first.  During children's programming, etc.  Once an hour round the clock, and twice during children's programming.  (I'm kind of a troublemaker sometimes  )

So I guess stations would have to run a political ad with graphic abortion pics or video? Or an ad with racial slurs? How about an ad that calls for ethnic cleansing?

Who in APS is willing to play the bad guy - register and run as a Democrat - and put his potty mouth to work on the air?  >:D

About 15 years ago I happened upon some letters that StL mayoral candidates were invited to publish in the StL Post-Disgrace. One of the candidates was openly white-supremacist. Not 2018 white-supremacist, which merely describes anything to the Left of Triggly-puff, but authentic white supremacist. I believe I was told at the time that the gentleman had been running in every mayoral election for a while. Not sure if he still does.

The NRA called me today with an offer to upgrade from Life to Elite for $250. I was very tempted, but my daughter's education comes first.

What does Elite get you?  I can't find it on their website

More phone calls.

When they call, instead of asking you to pledge $500 they ask you to pledge $5,000 ...

I wonder how far that rules will let you take it. What if they had some straight up pornography for their election ad?
