KF, you should have also quoted my next line:

Sure, on the Twitters it was about feminism. The movie itself was just a silly movie.

And you certainly missed that it became much, much more than that, and not just on Twitter.

The main criticism I always heard was it just wasn't funny.  I have never seen it.  If there were politics involved, it was in deciding to do an all female remake in the first place.

And that was the crux of WHY it suddenly became something else... well you just think it's not funny because you're anti-feminist! And it was off at the races after that.

I think I've said it here before but I know I've said it elsewhere.

The main part of the problem with GB 2016 was the fact that instead of continuing on with a story line that had already had fans the producers decided to piss on a beloved original and treated it like it never existed and that alone instantly turned off fans of the original. Combine that with unlikable main characters, piss poor acting, flat humor, and god awful writing and you have a perfect recipe for a major flop. Then to top it off they publicly labeled anyone not loving it a racist sexist pig.

Now if they had decided instead of trashing the original  do something like make the girls the daughters of the original crew then I think most fans of the original would have at least given it a chance. But nope.

Any of this sound familiar?

I didn't think I had to explain that Twitter was just short-hand for every other media where woke-ists gonna woke.

If it went beyond that, maybe you can tell us hair-raising war stories about how bad it got.

If there were politics involved, it was in deciding to do an all female remake in the first place.

For a knuckle-dragging reasonable sexist, like me, that was just part of the comedy. It's funny when the women-folk try to ape us, isn't it?

Sony Pictures Announces New Ghostbusters Movie Will Have No Women In It Just To Be On The Safe Side

“We’re not exactly sure why the 2016 reboot failed,” said Sony Pictures spokesman Jeffrey Floyd, “but they did switch the cast to all women in that one. So, just to be safe, we’re not having any women at all in this one. All of the crew members also had to be men. No women were anywhere near this one.”

So no male chauvinist pigs were harmed in making the new Ghostbusters? I'm sure PETA will be pleased.

Reviews are out
Appears audiences like it but critics hate it*.  Be willing to bet good money the same critics who hate it loved the 2016 [barf] version.

*Shocker I know

Audiences give W0KE critics the FINGER! Ghostbusters Afterlife LOVED by people, hated by critics!

Although the Critical Drinker is a bit critical (imagine that). After watching his video my opinion is he's being a bit nitpicky

I saw it today.  I liked it.  Had a feel good ending.  Went and saw it almost right after the verdict came in on the trial.

The movie is pure fan service.  Almost a tribute to Egon.  Ghostbusters ended up being an all time great comedy.  This isn't in that league, but it was a good movie.
