I really, really don't want Trump to run for re-election.

I'm hoping he'll realize there's more money (and fewer lawsuits) in being a pundit and owning social media platforms.

While I wish Trump would have won re-election, and still believe he would have were it not for censoring and information manipulation, I don't want him to run again.

I may be wrong, but I think him running again would actually lose him the election even if it's completely fair and square. I rather that he play some other role and let someone else step up. We're never going to get a candidate that everyone is happy with, but I kinda like DeSantis at this very early point. He's kind of a Trump minus the junior high twitter stuff.

DeSantis said he wasn't running in 2024, he wants another term as Governor.

That election will be interesting.  He didn't win by very much over an opponent that was actively being investigated for ethics violations during the campaign.

Since then he has become a pretty polarizing figure in FL.  Conservatives tend to love him, Liberals tend to hate him with an intensity approaching Trump, and moderates never mention state politics.  The people that favor a more mandate focused Covid response tend to think he's killed all the Grandma's and crippled our healthcare system.  And they feel that very strongly.

I'm told Dem Ag Commissioner Nikki Fried is talking about running for Gov, and she's a kinda attractive white woman, which is good optics.  She was moderately moderate in 2018, but seems to have swung harder left and more woke since then.  That may play well in JAX and south FL without scaring the middle of the state too much.

We'll see, but DeSantis has more baggage then folks outside of FL tend to think.

I couldn't follow a dang thing he said:

Watched the clip.  How anyone can watch that and think JB is cogent and with it, I don't know.

Every one of them has baggage. Sadly, it's all a matter of how much of your guy's baggage you can take, or how much worse the other guy's baggage is.

Everyone except the stupid sons of bitches at Fox news that is.

The dems are in a mess they made. They are going to need to 25th him or have him step down but that leaves them with someone worse than he is. They also kill the tie breaker in the senate to try to get their pick for VP.

It's fun times.

Remember, Biden is the guy that every conservative commentator spent years describing as "a guy you'd like to sit down and have a beer with."

(yes, I know, broken record here)

[EDIT] Also, isn't SOB a misogynistic thing to say? I mean, at least he never said anything about s-hole countries, but...

I could possibly see them 25th Biden if the Rs beat the margin of fraud in November.  Tie breaker would be moot at least.  It all depends on whether they can control Harris as effectively.  If not I could see them making her resign (or off her as a false flag) before the new Senate is seated in order to get someone they can control installed as VPOTUS.

I'm sorry to be a bit late in pointing this out, but it seems the Biden administration chose not to roll out their cancer cure in his first year.

Maybe this year?

I bet CNN will put up the rolling cancer death total right beside Biden’s COVID death total, just like they did for Trump, right?
