President Harris by Monday  [tinfoil]
China invades Taiwan on Tuesday.
Trump won in 2016. Democrats haven't been so offended since Republicans came along and freed their slaves.

Dems despise Kamala.  Rumor has it they’ll bribe her into resigning to go off to some highly paid bullshit position.  Gavin Newsom will replace her.  Then they’ll 25th Biden.  Thus giving Newsom the incumbency advantage for 2024.  Possibly with Stacy Abrams for VP.

I was going to ask if there was any mechanism or precedent for doing something like that, but then I remembered that the Guardians of teh Norms from 3 years ago are now allowed to do anything they want.

Yes everyone hates the VP but she would be the first black female president so it will piss off a lot of their base when they throw her under the bus.

No precedent that I know of for that scenario per se.  But what’s to stop them?  If Kamala resigns Biden is entitled to name a new VP.  The new VP has to be confirmed by the Senate however, so if they want Newsom or some other lefty “star” they’ll need to do it before the midterms.  McConnel will likely reuse to seat anyone the left would be excited about.

When Spiro Agnew resigned as Nixon’s VP he was replaced by Ford.  Granted the purpose of Agnew resigning was because of his own corruption rather than any chicanery on the part of Nixon to get someone else to replace him after resigning himself.  Had Agnew not been caught and shown to be a corruptocrat he would have been likely viewed as an ideal replacement for Nixon.

John C Calhoun is the only other VP to resign.  He had already lost the election for VP to van Buren (this was before POTUS and VPOTUS ran together) and did so basically to be able to  continue to confound Jackson from the Senate.

And Joe is almost the president.

Record inflation. We are in a recession and China has threatened to blow the speaker out of the air. What does pudding head do? He took the day off.

Saw that. Only good news I've seen all day.

Joe Biden had a meeting with his cabinet today.

He also spoke to his bookcase and argued with his desk.

Vice President Biden can't drive and still has covid.

Do you think he just has a bad case or are they just trying to keep him out of the public eye except for controlled circumstances.

That desk is hard to convince - it can be pretty resolute.
