Abbott to Bus Illegals to DC

I gotta give him a thumbs up for the idea. Send the illegals to the places that want them in the US, but  who also pull the NIMBY routine.

I don't have high hopes of it being able to work though. I'm guessing the Capitol Police and other DC LE will block the buses from delivering their cargoes.

I like the idea.  If the DC popo won't allow them to be discharged in DC then drop them off as close as possible.  The passengers will find their way.

So drop them off just outside the Cap Police's perimeter. Or take them to Brandon's home town up in Delaware.

Watch for a new surcharge on YOUR cell phone bill to support the free-phones-for-illegals program:  "Undocumented citizen communication fund."

Illegals need smart phones so later this year the Biden administration can begin texting them instructions on how to vote.

"We are sending them to the US Capitol, where the Biden Administration will be able to more immediately address the needs of the people they are allowing to come across our border."

I'm curious if "checking in with officials" meant Texas officials who escorted the bus, or Federal officials in DC. If the latter, I guess the buses aren't being turned around. 

Also, regarding "states aren't allowed to make immigration policy": Does busing migrants encouraged in by the Federal gov to the seat of the Federal gov actually qualify as making policy?

Title 42 refers to Section 262 of U.S. Code Title 42, which is a public health regulation, not an immigration law per se. Nonetheless, it is a federal law, and I don't think Brandon can unilaterally rescind it.

It is an election year for Abbott.  Glad he is trying.

Abbott has signed every pro-gun bill that has reached him and there have been a few.  That makes me less upset about other things.

Speaking of border crossing and covid testing... If you fly into the US, you must have a negative covid test within the 24 hours preceeding your entry into the US.

OR

You could fly into a Mexican airport such as Tijuana (no test or vaccine required) and then walk across the US border without needing a test or vaccine.
