I'm only surprised NPR even bothered to respond.

I heard a guest on NPR the other day that stated as if it was a universal truth that having conservatives in one's community increased violence and a whole litany of other woes.  She also baldly stated the goal of the left was to garner power in order to stop the right.  I was struck by the fact she was comfortable with just overtly stating it.  She didn't even pretend to be open-minded or to find bipartisan solutions.  It seems the only goal this particular speaker was espousing was to eliminate those that believe differently than they "should."
Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will... The limits of tyrants are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they oppress. ― Frederick Douglass

Well, of course, if those nasty conservatives weren't there, the peaceful antifa types wouldn't have to assault them, and there would be no violence.
A plan is just a list of things that doesn't happen.
