Post all your ill informed/zero informed speculation here.

Couldn't tell anything from the photo, too small. Found a larger version.
Very interesting. Guess you flip the top up to insert/remove the mag.
Needs an arm brace   :P

Rapidly approaching the point where none of that matters.

AR's become illegal, might as well get home-made DIAS and suppressor, change the barrel to 10.5" and call it a day.

Foregrip on a big pistol ain't got nothing on that.

Which also means we may never see this come to market.

The P90 magazines are amazing and I welcome new arms that utilize them.

ETA: if I recall there is a wildcat where the 5.7mm casing is opened to 7.62mm and made basically a straight wall subsonic .308 cal that can use the 50rd 5.7mm mags.

Now I am sort of tempted to try to buy a P90 magazine or two.  I figure it will be while before I see one of these.  Who knows what the law will be by then.

That is your bayonet attachment.

Two extra slots in the rail over what my HK 45 has.

I saw some articles and new videos recently.  I was wondering if that meant they were finally shipping.  I need to keep an eye out.

This cartridge looks rather small.  Is there anything special about it?

It has a coated case and you need to be careful reloading it.

IMO, it is just a hair more powerful that 22 Magnum but centerfire so it should be inherently more reliable.  Probably good for varmints nd punching holes in paper and stuff.  You can't buy the armor piercing bullets new, but other rounds are available.

To me, it is just a small blaster pistol with a very high magazine capacity.  I have a Keltec CMR 30 in 22 mag.  IMO, this would be similar only with more capacity and a bit better than 22 mag.

In a full auto such as the P90 the low recoil of the 5.7x28 allows rapid tight grouping on a target and is extremely effective for that reason and is really the reason the round was design the way it was. Just ask the Goa'uld  =D. In semi autos like the PS90, P50, and handguns it loses much of it's effectiveness IMHO.

5.56 is not exactly hard to group at PDW distances full auto.  But the whole PDW argument goes back and forth all the time.

P90's and 5.7 aside, I'm not sure what real use this pistol fills.  I mean it's a neat piece of gun-building, but probably heavy fully loaded, and I'm not sure having 50 rds in a handgun is worth that size, weight, and reload speed penalty.

Neato gadget though.

Agreed.  I think Keltec pretty much assumes there will be pistol braces made for them.  If you were after some sort of tactical use, an SBR is what you would want.  However, this package is probably lighter than an AR pistol with a D60.

This has a 10" barrel.  I wonder how it would look with a 16" barrel and a somewhat sturdy stock.

That looks pretty cool.  It is non-traditional, but I wonder why no one has attempted to build something similar.  I can only assume there were reliability issues that were never worked out.  Of course, I don't know how well something like this would work with a longer rifle cartridge.  I also guess the market for civilian semi-auto pistol carbines was never huge until more recently.

You could have a high capacity without a long magazine sticking out allowing a more traditional look.  The pictures of the SMG the army tested looked like a normal carbine.

Also, why were disposable magazines such a popular concept?

I guess we did that with the BAR and M1 Garand.  Have we done it with any other rifle?
