All republics seem to have a "life expectancy" of about 200 years. 


I seem to recall that from .... well,  some "factoid"  I picked up in my youth.  I'd read about the Greeks, the Etruscans,  the Roman Empire ..... I didn't think I'd see the dissolution of the United States of America.
