The fate of the border wall

I bet that due to cost and political issues, no more segments of the border wall will be built.  The question is if the existing segments will remain, or will we spend even more money to tear them down?

Why would they tear it down? Walls not only keep people out but can also be used to keep people in. All the cool socialist countries have walls.

It's probably just a coincidence that all the border state politicians who want the wall removed happen to have Hispanic names. I'm sure they are just as committed as we are to maintaining the national integrity of the United States.

Why would they tear it down?  . . .
Money.

These days a great many - perhaps most - public works projects have the primary (if unspoken) purpose of converting public funds into private profit.
Trump won in 2016. Democrats haven't been so offended since Republicans came along and freed their slaves.
