Except for maybe that one they didn't see coming. That's how SMOD rolls.
A plan is just a list of things that doesn't happen.
Is defenestration possible through the overton window?

Democrats: We got this It's Trump's fault

Trump won in 2016. Democrats haven't been so offended since Republicans came along and freed their slaves.

Ah, yes, the Torpedoid,  80° above the ecliptic, 83,000 km/h, just a trajectory, not even an orbit yet, >50 tonnes.

Maybe we're in its orbit.  It's all relative, you know.

I have a tinfoil-lined Kevlar beanie.  Works really well.
If there really was intelligent life on other planets, we'd be sending them foreign aid.

Conservatives see George Orwell's "1984" as a cautionary tale.  Progressives view it as a "how to" manual.

No impending SMOD. Looks like we need a better plague. This last one was *expletive deleted*ing worthless.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

Ah, but GOOD NEWS, RoadKingLarry !

https://justthenews.com/nation/science/nasa-declares-despite-safe-from-major-asteroids--there-are-about-two-millon-1000-foot-killer-asteroids-heading-our-way

See, they didn't mention that at first.  Lying by omission, eh?

(Scaling:  The size of the "Barringer" meteor in Arizona is estimated to have been 150 feet in diameter, causing the 1300 meter diameter crater.)

Fear not. I'm workin' on it. Pix to follow ...

Hmm, I've got some 2600° F ceramic insulation left over from lining my smelter. I could incorporate that, couldn't I?

I think some of that aluminum paint that dries looking like chrome might do it. Just in case, though, keep a bit of aluminum foil handy.  [tinfoil]
