Jalapeño Salad
« on: April 03, 2021, 09:15:33 AM »
Wendy's now offers a "Jalapeño Popper Salad." Sadly, there are no actual, deep-fried, cheese-filled Jalapeños in or with the salad. Happily, there are slices of uncooked Jalapeño. Not as hot and flavorful as a freshly-sliced pepper, but not bad. And diced bacon and fried chicken.

Recommend.

That's just a salad with jalopenos.

What makes it qualify as a proper popper-salad?

Pretty much nothing.

What's On It

Made fresh daily with Wendy’s signature lettuce blend, spicy, crispy chicken breast, diced tomatoes, shredded pepper jack cheese, applewood smoked bacon, and, of course, jalapeños, all topped with a crispy jalapeño & cheddar crouton mix and jalapeño ranch. If you’re reading this, you must like jalapeños so, yes, this is the one you should get. Promise.

Can someone tell me what's up with the fast food "restaurants" making their "food" spicier?

People like spicy stuff? Also, they introduce new menu items to provoke interest.

They'd pique my interest if they introduced something that wasn't guaranteed to burn out my a&&hole the next morning.

If you really want something from a (quasi)fast food place that you will feel the next morning try the Burning Love burger from Red Robin. They even garnish with a whole jalapeno for your dining pleasure.

Meh, tried it and found it to be mild. I actually surprise the Mexicans at my favorite Mexican restaurant at how hot I like food. Only thing that really lights me up are some Ethiopian dishes.

It's easier and cheaper just add heat/spicey to their shitty food than it is to make it actually taste good.

That makes sense.

Hey, at least they're not putting fish on a cheese sandwich, or putting avacodo on stuff, or other food perversions.
