To be fair, I don't think the populaces of their respective countries are quite as heavily armed as are Americans.

They make good points in the video about training, mindset, and tactics though.

It is interesting to hear the differing perspectives on the video.

It is an opinion piece.  One sided and designed to show what the NY Times wants to show.

In March of 2001, I watched a group of German police in Frankfort beat the sh*t out of couple youths in the middle of the afternoon with riot batons. I do recall a soccer tournament that day, but i didn't see what the youths were doing before the beat down.

I'v never witnessed that ever in the states.

I live in a MILD part of St. Louis... I can put 'em up, and we can go see if anyone wants to play a game with them.
 
Someone did that with a friend of mine a couple of weeks go. The bruises are gone, and I suspect that while his friend still thinks it was bashing, he is becoming MUCH more conservative...
