...they put gripping surfaces on small grooming tools like nose hair trimmers, toenail clippers, et cetera.  I swan, the coefficient of friction on these highly polished implements is near zero and you'd think the manufacturers would use their own products and catch onto the problem.

Or so you'd think.  But noooo.

 Oh, oh, and also, change the angle at which you grasp some of them to use on your body parts.

Amen, brother!  Preach it!   I've long thought the same thing.  The only utensils of that sort that I buy these days have decent gripping surfaces.

^ I thought along the same lines myself, sandblasting, etc., but that doesn't cure the other ergonomic problem: the angle at which most of them are used.

In sooth, the trouble with new stuff is that I've already got an investment in the crappily-designed old stuff. Irks my parsimonious old self.
