Early to bed, and early to rise...
« on: July 29, 2021, 03:40:05 AM »
...looks like most y'all aren't closing stores at 10pm at night...

And then occasionally opening them back up at 7africkinm...

Sigh.

I remember my time in the retail trenches. I can sympathize.

And folks are calling in... Closed tonight at 10pm (out at 10:15), back tomorrow at 0730-10pm for a double, then 12-close on Sunday and Monday, two days off, then back at 0730... I figure we're about to lose a few people. At least I'm hourly.

And, gee... It'd be nice if a few of the folks collecting unemployment would get off their asses... Then again, I might make more on unemployment.

Yeah, retail can suck.

Too bad you're not closer to here, or that SWMBO has said we're not moving again.  I could use a change of employment.

In any event, I do NOT do close/open shifts.

A few answers to the simple question of "what kind of car is the part for?"

"It's red."

"It's an F150 Silverado."

"It's a Bommarito." <local car megadealer>

"It's a Honda Accent."

"Don't you know?"

"Why?"

Bogie - how would you like a shift where you work from 4 a.m. Monday morning until 12:30 p.m. that afternoon, then have to be back at midnight and work midnight - 8:30 a.m. Tuesday through Friday, and sometimes Saturday as well?
For two years, I didn't know if I was eating breakfast, lunch, or dinner !  And I was taking computer classes on top of that ! JavaScript Tu & Th 9:30 - 11:30, then Photoshop Tu & Th nights from 6 - 8 p.m., then going back to work at midnight.
