Note to self...
« on: September 12, 2021, 11:25:51 PM »
When washing SWMBO's chenille throw:

A) Do not wash it with anything else, especially terrycloth items like towels.
B) Do not, under any circumstance, put it in the dryer.

Yes, I just spent 30 minutes vacuuming out the dryer. Chenille lint is like baby powder... it goes everywhere and sticks to everything. Everything. Being red, it was at least easy to spot. Thankfully the towels washed with it were the old ratty ones kept for messy things, not the good ones. The color didn't bleed but it might as well have. The towels are solid red with lint. Yes, SWMBO gave me that look.

The lint screen was completely full. Only other time I've ever seen one completely clogged, short of simply not being cleaned, was when a pillow exploded. On the upside I now know what the low airflow alarm sounds like.

She let me stay in the house, but not without frequent reminders of my misdeed.

Geeze.  I only gave my wife a very slight hard time after she knocked a knife off the counter and it stabbed my ankle.

What's "chenille?"

Was single at the time.  Washed my whitey tighties and some other stuff with some red shop rags.  Don't do that.

Odd thing was that after the divorce and I had established my own household and did my own cooking and cleaning, etc, I discovered I was doing a lot of things I would admonish her for.

Justice:

Mat 7; 1-5

First stone, thrower thereof.

Worms turning.

Petard-hoisting

Things going up coming down again.

This is, horizontally, "What goes around comes around."

Topologically, this is "Life is a Möbius strip."

What's "chenille?"

A fabric-like material composed of highly attractive microscopic fibers loosely bound in a high energy state that's just begging to come apart at the slightest provocation.

Oh. like nitrated organics.

Actually, I know, I just used it to underline my inexpertise in householding.  I was also going to crack wise about the Captain and Chenille but couldn't make it work.

Post-divorce (in my late forties) was the first time in my life I ever lived alone in a self-managed situation.

I was going to ask the OP how long it had been since the filters had been cleaned before he put in the chenille?

Every load. Thanks to my ex I've experienced a lint-related dryer fire. Not something I care to deal with again.
