I liked the way they explained that the problem was only with those made before Oct 15th, as if the chances were great that the one you may have bought was made in the last four days.

Yeah, that made me laugh.

Split barrels.  Sounds like a problem with manufacture, not design.

Or possibly with odd ammo loadings they did not anticipate.
