It is absolutely ludicrous that members of Congress can hold and trade individual stock while in office.

The access and influence we have should be exercised for the public interest, not our profit. It shouldn’t be legal for us to trade individual stock with the info we have.

There are already ethics rules in place, but I guess elected officials get to bypass them. I wasn't able to buy AVAV stock when I was working because I had insider knowledge of their newest stuff that they were testing with us. I mean, I could have and kept my mouth shut, but I was following the fed.gov ethics rules, which my betters flaunt.
