Fox News comment section is always weird. You get the really extreme right, but then you also get the really extreme left that are "monitoring" Fox News.

Andy Ngo is reporting that the hostage taker is with the religion of peace.

The miscreant ended up dead after the FBI HRT entered the building.  A loud bang and gunfire was heard.  Not yet specified just how the miscreant ended up dead.

Thank God. Apparently no injuries to anyone accept the attacker.

I wonder if the perp will get a Rolling Stone cover story.

It's interesting watching the FBI, Biden admin, and MSM pushing an "not an attack on Jews" narrative.

While I will concede that this was not a direct attack on Jews, as in, harming Jews was his primary purpose, it's not coincidental that he picked a synagogue. To him, this was a group that could be sacrificed for his cause. He could have chosen any number of places that would have given him more hostages to negotiate with. I guarantee if this was a black church, the above three entities would be singing a different tune.

Texas synagogue hostage-taker was British

Per the above article, he's been in country for 2 weeks, and was supposed to have gotten some weapons here. I presume Big Media is already blaming Texas gun laws, especially permitless carry.

Man, those Brits are such anti-semites. I bet more than anything it was his Britishness that made him attack a synagogue.

Glad no innocents were killed.

I would like to know what he was before he was British. The Brits have a worse record than us (the USA) when it comes to relocating radicals inside their borders.

The perp's name was Malik Faisal Akram, not Smedley Smyth-Barrow, Rodney Buckingham, or something of the sort.

Wonder if he came from the part of Britain colloquially referred to as Londonistan.

Most likely Pakistani in origin.  Possibly Indian Muslim, but that’s low probability.  A few other possibilities but even less likely than Indian Muslim.

From the article:

Quote
In the UK, counter-terrorist police confirmed that Malik Faisal Akram was originally from the Blackburn area of Lancashire.

Sounds like he was born there. The woman he was talking about is Pakistani, and there are plenty of Pakistani-Brits, so Pakistani heritage seems likely.

It looks as if the hostages escaped themselves and the HRT went in afterwards.

Intense.  It took some guts for those hostages to make a break for it.  Definitely the right move to cut out of the line of the doorway too.  Doesn't look like HRT was ready for the way it developed but when the shooting started they took care of business..

Quick thinking by the hostages.

How many battle rattle guys were there? It looked like freakin' fifty of them.

Makes me curious what these teens might know.  Might just be fishing.

The FBI's HRT has 149 full-time duty team members, so fifty wouldn't be out of the question.

The apparently quick collaboration between US and Brit LE was interesting. I guess good in some ways, but a little scary in others.

It would be funny if they made their simultaneous breakout and get out of the doorway plans in Hebrew.

Well, wouldn't it?
