Quote
DANVILLE, Pa. (AP) — A truck carrying about 100 monkeys was involved in a crash Friday in Pennsylvania, state police said as authorities searched for at least three of the monkeys that appeared to have escaped the vehicle.

The truck carrying the animals crashed with a dump truck in the afternoon in Montour County, Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Andrea Pelachick told the Daily Item. The truck had been on its way to a lab, Pelachick said.

Authorities have asked residents who might see the monkeys to call state police at 570-524-2662.

It was unclear if any people or animals were injured in the crash.

Just seemed like a Roundtable type story.
For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity, that they may be without excuse. Because knowing God, they didn’t glorify him as God, and didn’t give thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.

Lab monkeys? They'll probably freeze. Mummify. End up on some weird news site when a hunter finds 'em.

Sounds like monkey trafficking - another shipment of forced laborers destined for the manufacturing facilities of Century Arms up in Vermont.

No problem unless the escapees can breed.

Then we'll have another case of non-native  species (animal or plant) overrunning the place.

Isn't something like that what caused the feral hog problems, especially in Texas?

In ten years we may be hunting them from helicopters.

Its a good thing they weren't transporting 100 elephants.  5.56 NATO could never handle them.

The hogs in TX were intentionally released probably before statehood to create a local free meat source.  Add in escapees over the decades and breeding that makes rabbits look chaste and here we are.

Probably already registered on democrat voter rolls, offered free education, free housing, and a tax "refund".

[“Anyone who sees or locates the monkey is asked not to approach, attempt to catch, or come in contact with the monkey. Please call 911 immediately," troopers tweeted, not elaborating on any specific dangers the monkey posed.[/quote]

I don't know what this thing is infected with (if anything) but if I were to come across it there would be a sudden case of lead poisoning it would have to deal with.

Which, of course, leads to the fundamental question: WHAT CALIBER FOR MONKEYS?

Gee... I own a 3/4 ton van. 350 chevy engine, tow package, nice big tires.

Monkeys? They look crunchier than a SF quarterback playing in 13 degree weather...

Well, maybe I could take it to a car wash...

If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

Either horror movie or the DNC convention.

They killed the 3 monkeys that escaped out of fear they might have been exposed to something while loose.

So, they died of Covid?
