Oorah.

Hell of an iconic photo.

There is no fixing stupid. But, you can line it up in front of a wall and offer it a last smoke.

There is no such thing as a "transgender" person.  Only mental illness that should be discouraged.

A somewhat more recent view of Iwo Jima (Now Iwo To).

Mt Suribachi is not in this picture, it is under the cloud/wing on the tip of the island.

Probably the most haunted island in the world.  30,000 dead in 30 days.  A mil buddy who is still in was able to make one of the rare visits to the island about 6 years ago.  While there he collected a small amount of the black volcanic sand from the beach and sent it to me.  My only connection to the event being stationed aboard USS Iwo Jima LHD-7.  Got to meet Jack Lucas a few times when he visited the ship.

Thanks to the Battleship New Jersey's Instagram channel for the reminder.  I saw no mention of this anywhere else.

I was hoping to go when my reserve unit was in Guam. They went the previous trip but not mine.
